Terms of Use

The agreement between you and Genelio. We've kept it as clear as we can — the most important part is simple: Genelio helps you understand your reports, but it is not medical advice.

Last updated: June 1, 2026
Not a medical service

Genelio is an educational tool. It does not diagnose, treat, or prescribe, and it is not a substitute for professional medical advice. Never disregard or delay seeking care because of something you read here. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account or using Genelio, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use Genelio.

2. The service

Genelio reads lab and genetic reports you upload and answers questions about them, grounding every response in your uploaded data. Answers are generated from your files and may contain errors or omissions; you are responsible for verifying anything important with a qualified professional.

3. No medical advice

Genelio does not provide medical, diagnostic, or treatment advice and does not create a doctor–patient relationship. Content is for educational purposes only. Decisions about your health should always be made with a licensed healthcare professional who can consider your full history.

4. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. Please provide accurate information and let us know promptly of any unauthorized use. You may only upload reports that belong to you or that you're legally authorized to use.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Upload data you don't have the right to use, or another person's data without authorization.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the service.
  • Use Genelio to make clinical decisions for others as if it were a medical device.
  • Misuse the service in any way that violates applicable law.

6. Intellectual property

Your data remains yours. Genelio and its software, design, and content remain the property of Genelio, Inc. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive license to use the service; you grant us only the permissions needed to process your files and provide answers to you.

7. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Genelio is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for decisions made in reliance on the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

8. Termination

You can stop using Genelio and delete your data at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are violated or to protect the service and its users. On termination, your data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Changes & contact

We may update these terms as the service evolves. If changes are material, we'll notify you. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
