Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 January 2026

At Genelio, we treat your genomic data with the same care a lab does. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and what controls you have over it.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly (name, email, report files), information collected automatically (usage data, device information), and genomic / microbiome data you choose to upload from third-party labs.

How We Use Your Information

Your data is used solely to provide and improve the Genelio service, generate personalised insights, and communicate with you about your account. We never sell your personal or genetic data to third parties.

Genomic Data

Your reports are encrypted at rest and in transit, processed only to provide insights, and never shared with insurance companies, employers, or third-party advertisers. They are never used to train any model.

Data Retention

You may delete your account and all associated data at any time. Upon deletion, we remove your personal and genetic data within 30 days from all our systems, including backups.

Security

We use industry-standard security measures including AES-256 encryption in transit and at rest, scoped service tokens, and audit logging on every read of a report.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, export, and delete your data at any time. You may also opt out of certain data processing activities and request restrictions on how we use your information.
